RÖSLER STARTS OWN RETREADING FACILITY IN AUSTRALIA

On October 1st, Rösler Tyre Innovators GmbH officially took over ownership of Rio Tinto’s Retread Facility in Perth, Western Australia, building on Rösler’s strategic vision of developing new markets outside Europe to supply Schelkmann Pre-cured Retreads.

Work has begun to modify plant equipment to integrate Schelkmann Pre-cure process in order to meet demand from amongst some of the world’s largest mining corporations in Western Australia.

Meanwhile, exploratory trips from Rösler’s Casing Inspection Team, involving skilled employees from Germany and Australia, recently visited many of the mining sites in the Pilbara, an area located in the North West of Australia, and in the Hunter Valley, near to Sydney on the East Coast, in order to identify quality casings and secure casing supply.

Additionally, extensive technological modifications have taken place to upgrade the Water Autoclave and Pre-Cure Builder, enabling the first Pre-cured Retreads in Australia to be rolled out, on time and on budget, before the end of the year.

January next year will see a rapid increase in Pre-cured Retreads as production is geared up to supply Rio Tinto with Retreads.

At a recent meeting with employees from both Germany and Australia, Paul Rösler, Director, declared “the supply agreement with Rio Tinto will further establish Rösler Tyre Innovators as the market leader Retreads. With German engineering and Australian ingenuity, we will re-engineer the retread industry in Australia!”
