RÖSLER Group enjoys a ‘sporty’ Christmas party
Employees of the RÖSLER Group do not really know what a traditional Christmas party involves. This is because, as in previous years, a special event was on the agenda for the joint Christmas party on 3rd December.
At lunchtime, a former team bus used by Borussia Dortmund was ready to take the staff to the Signal Iduna Park where a sportive-festive programme full of surprises awaited all the employees. The party was kick-started with a warm-up programme involving ‘moderate exercise’: While touring Germany’s largest football stadium with a total capacity of 80,708 visitors, the staff had access to areas normally not open to the public - like the players’ changing rooms and the VIP areas. It was particularly impressive to walk along the players’ tunnel leading to the pitch while listening to the ‘sound’ of the capacity crowd, as created by the loudspeakers. Two football legends accompanied the staff on the tour of the stadium - the event manager of Borussia Dortmund, Norbert (Nobby) Dickel and the Borussia Dortmund ‘institution’ Alfred (Aki) Schmidt who entertained them with ‘inside anecdotes’.
An appropriate welcome awaited the employees of the RÖSLER Group inside the stadium - they were greeted by a message on a video screen measuring more than 48 square metres. This was followed by a reception with mulled wine on the ‘Südtribüne’ (Southern section).
After completing this ‘warm-up’, the visitors were ready for the ‘sporty’ finale in the separate golf area. Driving, putting, pitching - this is the motto in the south-eastern corner of the stadium where one of the most modern and largest indoor golf complexes with an area of more than 1,000 square metres is located. This was not only a lot of fun for the ‘die-hard’ golf players but for all the employees who were able to try their luck in two tournaments. The first prize of the goal wall shooting and putting contests was in each instance a flat screen TV.
In addition to all of the action, the event was finished off with a tasty buffet for the participants to gain a ‘second wind’. This meant the beginning of the really fun part of the evening and many showed their enthusiasm on the dance floor or engaged in small talk. After setting the mood for Christmas 2008 with this highly eventful party, all the participants are already looking forward to next year and another truly unique event...
