Rösler modifies new retreading plant in Australia
On the 1st of October 2009 Rösler officially won ownership of the retreading facility in Perth, Western Australia. This new project builds on Röslers strategy to expand into the market for precure retreading.
Specialists from Dortmund will work together with staff already onsite under the leadership of Norbert Bogun to convert the equipment. The first tires are planned to roll out end of this year and into the world’s largest mining industry in Western Australia.
The target number of retreads was raised in 2010, to account for the contract with Rio Tinto and to supply their mines with tires. The contracts to supply Queensland, South Africa and Chile with Schelkmann precure tires have already been signed.
In a recent meeting with German and Australian workers, Paul Rösler explained, “Our first facility in Australia will help stabilize Rösler Group as the market leader for precure retreading. With German technology and Australian ingenuity we will revolutionize the whole retreading industry in Australia.
