Successful participation at the STEINEXPO Trade Fair in September 2008
This year’s venue for the Steinexpo Trade Fair, the 7th international showcase fair for the construction material industry, which took place from 3rd – 6th September 2008, was Europe’s biggest basalt quarry, owned by the company Mitteldeutsche Hartstein-Industrie AG in Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden, Germany. The RÖSLER Group and its associate White GmbH were among the exhibitors.
RÖSLER used the opportunity to showcase the SCHELKMANN SPR system for retreading OTR tyres, which is also suitable for maximum tyre sizes. RÖSLER consequently refined this service with its new programme ‘RÖSLER 360 - Full Service Tyre Management’. The mobile OTR tyre fitting service offered by White GmbH ensures that down times of cost-intensive construction vehicles are minimised - a service that is offered 24/7.
The SCHELKMANN SPR system - the world’s leading brand
SCHELKMANN - this name stands for the retreading of OTR tyres, based on a cold retreading process.
Thanks to the SPR system (SCHELKMANN Precured Retreading system), the company is currently regarded as the global leader in the industry for the retreading of big OTR tyres (25’ to 57’). This still relatively new technology has already proven its worth and is particularly favoured by mining companies due to its extraordinary reliability and extremely high operational safety. The performance of tyres retreaded with the SPR system is equal or even superior to that of premium new tyres as regards mileage, TKPH value and payload. Furthermore, the costs per running hour can be reduced markedly in comparison to new tyres and other retreading methods. This comprehensive solution is the result of a number of projects for mining companies abroad in which an SPR system was installed. The project work has proven that the intensive support of these companies before and after installing the system is essential for the success of the project. This finding resulted in the ‘Full Service Tyre Management’ programme, which guarantees mining companies a fleet that is constantly available and fully functional and furthermore reduces operational costs. The programme includes a customer advisory service to determine which tyres are suited for which vehicle in order that an efficient operation of the vehicles is guaranteed. By means of operation analyses, measurements and recording the data on site, it is ensured that retreading or refitting of the tyres is carried out on time. Through special software and digi pens to collect data directly in the mine, all the data can be transmitted quickly and evaluated in the subsequent tyre tracking step. Within the scope of the Supply Chain Management programme, RÖSLER takes care of the optimisation of the storage of tyres for the fleet and the availability of any material required for the operation of the tyre retreading facility. The all-inclusive ‘RÖSLER 360’ service naturally also includes advice regarding tyre disposal. This advice focuses on protecting the environment and resources while recycling energy and materials.
White - Mobile OTR tyre fitting service
White Baumaschinenreifen & Montageservice GmbH offers a broad range of services to ensure permanent mobility and usability of construction vehicles - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In the case of a vehicle breakdown, two state-of-the-art vehicles for OTR tyre fitting can be sent out to the customer to quickly assemble and disassemble tyres with sizes of 33.00 R 51 to 45/65 R 45; consequently, down times of cost-intensive earth-moving vehicles such as wheel loaders and motorised trolleys can be reduced.
